KitchenAid Artisan Mini Stand Mixer in Matte Black!

Check out this new series of KitchenAid mixers for 2016 – the Artisan Mini Series Tilt-Head Stand Mixer in Matte Black is a great addition to the KitchenAid stand mixer line.
.
This mini mixer is one of the best stand mixers for the small kitchen. It weighs less than other KitchenAid stand mixers, and it’s smaller as well. With the smaller size, it can fit more places. For instance, it is more likely to fit in the space between your kitchen counter and the cupboard above since it’s about 2-inches shorter than the other mixers.
.
With this elegant black color, it can fit in with any color decor you might have in your kitchen. It’s a stylish looking mixer that will be a great accent in your kitchen.

.
Of course good looks are just the start of what makes this Artisan mini a great stand mixer!

Comparing Shades with the Black and Gray Mini Mixers

.
Here are two similar matte shades for the Artisan mini mixer: matte black and matte gray. In the same color family, they both have a lot to recommend them. It’s more a matter of which color you like better.

This is kind of like the difference in satin finish and flat finish when you are painting. In the case of these mixers, instead of a shiny, satin finish, they have the “flat” or matte finish. And as you can see in the pictures above, one is a flat black finish, and one is a flat gray finish.
.
If you’ve got a solid colored painted kitchen in just about any color, these mixers will fit right in. The Matte Black mini mixer would especially stand out in a white or other light colored kitchen.
.
Also, if your kitchen has a pattern or a lot of different colors, black can work really well as an accent piece on your counter. Yes, you buy a mini mixer because it’s going to be of use in the kitchen, but why not have something that is not only useful, but looks great too? No reason why you can’t have both utility and beauty if you buy a Kitchenaid mixer.

Pros And Cons of the Matte Black Mini Mixer

.

Pros and Cons of Artisan Mini Matte Black Mixer
The Good
  • 25% lighter, 20% smaller footprint than next size mixer
  • Has tilt-head to allow easy access to bowl
  • Black color looks good in any kitchen
  • Hub works with any KA mixer attachment
The Bad
  • Premium mixer means higher price
  • Requires specific size bowl and beaters
  • No pouring shield available for this size

.
You can use a black mixer in just about any color kitchen, so the main question is, “Do YOU like it?” If this color doesn’t make you happy, there are 9 other colors to choose from!
.
And of course while getting a lovely color mixer is a nice bonus, the main reason to buy a KitchenAid Artisan Mini is because it does such a great job. Considering this smaller mixer has the same motor size as the next-size-up Classic Kitchenaid mixer, you can be sure it still has plenty of power, it’s a good buy in a downsized package. And that smaller size makes it a lot easier to move around than the bigger mixers, and can fit in smaller places as well.

Three KitchenAid Stand Mixer Bundles for the Mini Artisan Matte Black Mixer

Matte Black Mini Mixer by KitchenAid looks good anywhere!
You can buy three different versions of this black Kitchenaid Mini mixer. Obviously, all 3 of them include the black matte mixer itself, but each deal has different accessories.
.

Deal #1: Mini Mixer, bowl and 3 types of beaters.

.
This black matte shade of mini mixer is shown on the left side in the group of 3 pictures below.
.
You know you get the matte black mixer, but along with the stand mixer you get three attachments: the flat beater, dough hook and wire whip. (Attachments, accessories…. point is, this is the beaters, NOT something that fits in the hub).
.

.
These beaters are specific to this model and can ONLY be used with this model. All the different types of KitchenAid mixers have their own beaters since there can be a difference in the distance between the head of the mixer and the bottom of the mixing bowl. The wrong size beaters, especially if they are too big, might bang up the bowl and wouldn’t work correctly in any case.
.
This particular package deal comes with the 3.5-Qt. Brushed Stainless Steel Bowl. And this particular bowl does NOT have a handle. Some people like it without a handle. However, if you like a bowl that *does* have a handle, check out deal #3.

Deal #2. Mini Mixer, steel bowl and Flex-Edge beater.

.
This is the mixer shown in the middle of the group of 3 above. You get the Black Matte Mini Mixer, bowl, and a Flex Edge beater. This beater has a flexible edging on one side that continually scrapes ingredients away from the sides of the bowl and back into the main mixture. It’s like what happens when you stop the mixer to scrape down the bowl with a rubber spatula, only this beater does it while the mixer is running.
.
When you buy this special beater by itself, most places give it a price tag around forty dollars.
.

.
The mixing bowl is the same brushed stainless steel as the first deal, and holds about 3 1/2 quarts.
.

Deal #3. Premium Black Matte Artisan Mixer, handled bowl, Flex-Edge beater, dough hook & wire whip.

.
This is the mixer on the right in the group of 3 above. The big difference with this package deal is the mixing bowl. It’s the only one of the three deals that has a 3½-qt. polished stainless steel bowl WITH a handle.
.
Not only that, but this bundle includes three beaters like the first deal, but instead of the flat beater, you get the special Flex edge variety.
.

.
The matte black mini Artisan can use attachments just like the bigger mixers!Bottom line is you get an Artisan mini, mixing bowl with a handle, special flex edge beater, dough hook, and wire whip. Guess that’s why this is called a PREMIUM Package!
.
If you like the Matte Black color, any one of these three packages would give you a great stand mixer that would perform well in your kitchen. It’s just a matter of which accessories you would prefer: bowl with a handle or without? Flat beater of flex edged beater?
.

The KitchenAid Artisan mini mixer is a great investment. You get a reliable brand stand mixer. It has the same motor as the Classic, so has plenty of power to run beaters or attachments. With 10 mixing speeds there’s a variety to suit every job. Plus this little mixer still has a hub that allows you to add other attachments like a pasta maker or grater, and that will give you even more ways to use your Mini Mixer.

.
So if a black Artisan mini mixer that looks elegant and works great, pick one of the three deals above and get yours today!

  1. I like black appliances. I do believe this smaller size Kitchen Aid mixer would be a great buy for my kitchen. I love to bake, but only need small batches, so this should work.
