If your favorite color is green, these shades will make you envious for a green Kitchenaid Mixer!
For instance, do you have a green kitchen decor, or maybe some other color that blends well with green? A Kitchenaid mixer green shade would look pretty nifty sitting on the counter then.
Pistachio KitchenAid Mixer
One of the most popular shades of a green Kitchen Aid stand mixer is pistachio. It’s a pale green that is found in what is also the most popular line of Kitchenaid stand mixers, the Artisan Kitchenaid line.
This pistachio green kitchenaid mixer is one of the tilt-head type of mixers, so the head of the mixer lifts up out of the bowl, and tilts backwards.
It has a 5-quart stainless steel bowl, with the “comfort handle” to make it easy to grab and move somewhere. It also makes it easy to pick it up and pour stuff out of the bowl.
The Artisan series of mixers have the usual 10 speeds found on Kitchenaid stand mixers. Also, this Kitchenaid mixer pistachio colored model employs the 59-Point Planetary Mixing Action. If you’re not familiar with that term, it just means that as the beater circles the bowl, it touches the sides 59 times during each rotation. This ensures that all the ingredients get thoroughly mixed together.
This kitchenaid mixer pistachio green model comes with the following:
- coated flat beater,
- coated dough hook,
- 6-wire whip and
- 1-piece pouring shield.
You can throw the flat beater and dough hook into the dishwasher as they are completely dishwasher-safe. It’s also okay to put the bowl into the dishwasher, so that’s one less thing to have to wash by hand as well!
Oh, and in case you wonder how much the 5-qt. bowl can hold, according to Kitchenaid’s website, you can mix-up nine dozen cookies, four loaves of bread or seven pounds of mashed potatoes at a time.
KitchenAid Mixer in Bayleaf Green
The Artisan series has more than one shade of green to choose from. If you’d like a little deeper green, maybe the bayleaf Artisan Kitchenaid mixer is the one for you.
I rather like this deeper shade of green myself, but everyone has their own favorite shades.
Since it is one of the Artisan series of Kitchenaid stand mixers, it has all the same features and specifications as the pistachio green mixer already mentioned.
Canopy Green Is A Brighter Shade of Green Artisan Mixer
I am guessing it’s called Canopy Green because it’s a leaf green shade. At least that’s what it looks like to me! You may have a different interpretation. 🙂
Some people might consider this a lime green kitchenaid mixer, or maybe even a mint green kitchenaid mixer. However, that’s not what the shade is called. Nope, it’s named a Canopy Green KitchenAid Mixer.
But if you’re looking for a kitchenaid stand mixer mint green shade, I think this is probably as close as you’ll get. Same thing with looking for a lime green kitchenaid stand mixer.
It has all the usual features found in the Artisan series with a tilt-head style, stainless steel bowl, flat beater and dough hook.
But we’re not done yet! There are two more shades of green Kitchenaid Mixers!
A-PEAR-antly This Is Green | Pear KitchenAid Mixer
Okay, this shade looks like it is somewhere between green and yellow to me. I saw it placed in a green category elsewhere, although to me it looks like it could just as well go in the yellow shades. At any rate, here is the PEAR colored KitchenAid stand mixer. Decide for yourself if you think it is yellow or green or somewhere in-between.
I’m sure some people will consider this a lovely color, but I’ll confess, I’m not one of them. To me it looks the color of something you might find in a baby’s diaper. Hey, just sayin’! 🙂 If you like the color, go for it!
Once again, this is one of the Artisan series of Kitchenaid mixers, so it has all the features noted at the beginning of this review. The head of the mixer tilts, the bowl is stainless steel, and you get the flat beater, wire whisk and bread dough hook with the mixer. Oh, and the pouring shield as well.
All that will cover most of what you need to do in the kitchen. There are attachments you can buy for more specialized stuff, like making pasta, but you can do very well with just the basic purchase of a KitchenAid stand mixer set.
Now there is one more color of KitchenAid green mixer to check out!
Green Apple KitchenAid Mixer
This particular color is very aptly named, as to me at least, it really does look the color of a green apple.
And once again, this shade is available as part of the Artisan KitchenAid mixer series, with the big long title of kitchenaid ksm150ps stand mixer 5 qt. Artisan green apple. However, it is also available as a KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6 Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer as show below:
I think this kitchenaid green apple shade is somewhere in-between pistachio and canopy green.
The Artisan version of the green apple KitchenAid has all the attributes previously described for that series of KitchenAid stand mixers.
The Pro 600 version is a bigger version with a 6-quart stainless steel bowl. You should be able to mix up the following size batches in this bowl:
- 13 dozen cookies,
- 8 loaves of bread or
- 8 pounds of mashed potatoes.
Eight loaves of bread at once! Now that’s some serious baking!
The head of this mixer is stationary. Instead of tilting the head back to get the beater out of the bowl, there is a lever that allows you to raise and lower the bowl. I really like this method because I can lower the bowl just enough to lift the beater out of the mixture and then run the beater to let any extra batter fly off the beater and into the bowl. Of course if the bowl is full up to the top, that won’t work, but most of the time I don’t have the bowl that full.
Both the Artisan and Pro 600 KitchenAid mixers have 10 speeds, but the Pro has more “touchpoints” with a 67-Point Planetary Mixing Action. In other words, the beater touches the bowl 67 times each time it rotates around the bowl. Since the Artisan has a 59-Point mixing action, that means the Pro 600 touches the bowl 8 more times. (Aren’t you impressed with my great math skills? 67-59=8!)
As with the Artisan mixers, the green apple KitchenAid Pro 600 comes with a burnished Powerknead spiral dough hook, burnished flat beater, wire whip, and 1 piece pouring shield.
All of the above KitchenAid mixers weigh in at about 29 pounds, and each comes with a 1-year warranty, just in case you have any problem.
Of course, all KitchenAid stand mixers have a power hub that you can attach any number of attachments to as well, including pasta makers, meat grinders, juicers and more. You can turn this one appliance into a whole lot of different useful items!
Here’s one more look at the different shades of Kitchenaid mixer green, this time all close together so you can see how each one looks and compare the different shades of green.
